The PIF Drawing for Teeni’s Trivia

I apologize for the long awkward video - I put in the names, pulled them out, then used the backs of the non-winner’s papers to put the colors of the prizes and pulled those out. I didn’t want to break the video while I ran around (you can hear my corduroys swooshing) so everyone would know it was done fairly.
And the winners are:
At this point my camera shut off and I didn’t realize it - the dang viewfinder timed out. So I just turned the power back on. But I had already pulled out the Purple and Yellow pieces of paper, in that order, before I realized it so you’ll just have to trust me on that.
Oops - Oh yeah, that is Toast’s little orange furry backside on the table during the drawing. He figured since there was no food on the table that he could sit up there and look out the window.
I couldn’t decide whether to show you the prizes or not but I think I will because I get too excited. So the following is a separate video that you don’t have to watch if you want to be in suspense.
Winners, I will need you to forward your addresses to me so I can send off your prizes. Actually, I don’t need yours, Laura because I have yours on the package you sent me! That worked out nicely! LOL.
To summarize, Paige gets Purple, Laura gets Yellow, and Calamity gets Blue.
Oh, and the answers to the quiz were -
A. Toast (male, orange) and Jam (female, calico) - a search on cats in the searchbox would’ve given you some cat posts
B. TGH stands for Techno-Geek Hubby - it’s on my Alias page
C. Puppet Twins were what I called my little matches - there is a subject for them in the Tearoom Subjects box

I thought about doing that but didn’t want to scare anyone. I am working on getting over my self-consciousness and will probably post more personal pics sometime in the near future. So did you look ahead to see your prize or not? I’m just curious.

Yes, that must have been a rare moment for you to have been feeling lazy. Very unlike you! I did used to have a photo of myself in my about section but I took it down because I got sick of seeing my little icon all over the internet wherever I left comments. And you KNOW i like to comment. LOL. I’m working on a post though so you will see in a day or two. I would love to see a video of you.

Good question, Red! I actually thought the viewpoint looked pretty cool. The video wasn’t the best quality but that is because it was from my old digital camera which also has the video capability. That is what I used but on a tripod and I stood behind the tripod. That part was easy since the camera was flat so it didn’t take up much room and actually WAS almost like it was strapped to my forehead - dang now I keep picturing miner’s with their little headlight headbands on their heads! LOL.
Teeni- I got the biggest kick out of Toast sitting there! You’re so clever drawing names from a teapot! And your lovely prizes/gifts in tea cups! What a fun idea and your video just made it even more special!
I have a clip of Jam sticking her head in the teapot. I’ll have to post that as an outtake. LOL

Ooo - Melsie, I did notice you missing too. I was surprised at the small turnout but I should be thankful because it was less work for me in writing down all the names! LOL. I thought it was weird too about the first two pulls being the same two (and in the same order) that I put them in. Freaky. But I guess with only six names that can be expected. I was so afraid something weird like that was going to happen and that people would think it was fixed so that is why I video taped it and didn’t want to turn it off until I was done - so of course the camera shut off on me but at least that happened after all the names were pulled. Whew. Who knew giving prizes was so much stress? LOL. But it was also fun too!
BTW, the prizes are beautiful!! Excellent job on them!!
Thank you!!! I thought they were really cute and appropriate - teeny little teacups filled with “flowers for friends” from the Vaguetarian Tea Room! And a little ladybug on each saucer - that would be me, the little lady that bugs them. LOL.

Great job… I think it’s a great idea doing a video showing the drawing.
I’ll probably do it differently - if I ever have a contest.
I’ll probably do a random number sorting in excel. That’s the way I used to pick which questions I’d use on a test or which students would be on which team for a classroom activity. Maybe that’s just a little too geeky
